I’d like to share with you my excitement for Thy Kingdom Come and invite you to join in.

Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement, started in 2016, which invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension (25th May) and Pentecost (4th June) for more people to come to know Jesus Christ.

The hope is that:

  • people will commit to pray with God’s world-wide family
  • churches will hold prayer events
  • people will be empowered through prayer by the Holy Spirit, finding new confidence to be witnesses for Jesus Christ.

Archbishop Justin Welby says, “In praying 'Thy Kingdom Come' we all commit to playing our part in the renewal of the nations and the transformation of communities."

I invite you to take part:

First 5:00pm service at Wrangthorn

We launched our new-style Evening Service on 4th October, and we were delighted to be joined by over 30 people.

We began the service at 5:00pm with coffees and teas, before entering the main body of the church by candlelight.

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be continuing a sermon series on Exodus, as well as prayerfully reflecting on how we can best serve Hyde Park as a church community.

New Evening Service Launch - This week!

Following various meetings, and times of prayer for our church and the community, we are delighted to be announcing a new Evening Service, from this Sunday 4th October.

We will meet at Wrangthorn Church from 5:00pm for drinks, before starting worship at 5:30pm. We hope very much that you will be able to join us for this exciting new venture, which seeks to blend traditional and contemporary expressions of Christian spiritual worship.
